Who can obtain a burn permit?

All property owners in Augusta Township may obtain a permit. They are conditional and can be revoked at any time. If you are a tenant, the property owner must obtain the permit.

It states my phone number is in use?

This is a one time glitch in the system due to switching to online permits. Please call: 613-925-4231 ext 202 or email atrickey@augusta.ca to have this fixed.

Is there a fee?

No, burn permits are currently free.

The current location feature is not on my house?

As long as the location is within Augusta Township you are able to proceed to receive your permit. Please call 613-925-4231 ext 202 or email atrickey@augusta.ca to update the mapping AFTER you receive your permit.

What will the consequences be for burning without a permit, or in contravention of the By-law?

This could result in a fine and/or additional costs associated with services rendered.
